1295720 Pharmaceutical compositions DR KARL THOMAE GmbH 28 Aug 1970 [29 Aug 1969] 41621/70 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions having antimicrobial, particularly antitrichomonal, activity comprise a compound of formula I: (wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 , which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-6 alkyl group with the proviso that at least one of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 represents a C 1-6 alkyl group; or one of the pairs of radicgals (R, and R 2 ) and (R 3 and R 4 ), together with the nitrogen atom to which the pairs of radicals (R 1 and R 2 ) and (R 3 and R 4 ), with each slmbol of the remaining pair representing a hydrogen atom or a C 1-6 alkyl group or the remaining pair together with the nitrogen atom to which the pair is attached and an oxygen atom also representing a morpholino group or a physiologically compatible acid addition salt thereof, together with a pharmaceutical carrier. The compositions may be administered orally, rectally or parenterally, and may contain a further physiologically active ingredient, e.g. a compound having antibacterial, antiprotozoal and/or anthelmintic activity.
