Abstract

The device has a tongue crossing point/wheel overrun section (44) formed by grooves (12,14) cutting across each other. The overrun section has two longitudinal crossing profiles (18,20), each corresponding to one half of the section. The profiles are welded together within the overrun section crossing point. The profiles are welded to a common base plate, and are connected to each other by screw connections. The common base of the grooves is of welding material. The profiles may also be connected by manual electrode welding, gas-shielded metal-arc welding, Laser beam welding, electroslag welding, or metal arc welding.
