Abstract

999,052. Releasable fastener. BECKETT, LAYCOCK & WATKINSON Ltd. Oct. 18, 1963 [Oct. 19, 1962; June 4, 1963], Nos. 39735/62 and 22245/63. Heading E2A. A catch member 20 is pivotably mounted, in the plane of the window 10, on a bearing 12 held in position by a screwed spigot 15 passing through a pane 10. The catch 20 is held in position on the bearing 12 by circlips 23. In an alternative arrangement, Figs. 5 and 6, the catch 20 is biased towards the pane 10 by a spring 32 to hold the catch in a recess 36 in the window frame when the pane 10 is in the closed position and the catch 20 is in engagement with an abutment 34.
