997,014. Electromagnetic relays. MATERIEL TECHNIQUE INDUSTRIEL. Sept. 8, 1961 [Sept. 9, 1960; Jan. 2, 1961], No. 32424/61. Heading H2B. In a relay having a pair of contact bridges acting as change-over contacts the bridges are insulated from one another. As shown in Fig. 4 the two contact bridges 14, 15 are biased apart within a cavity 17a in an insulating carrier 17 by a spring 19 between insulators 18 on the opposing faces of the bridges 14, 15. The latter co-operate with fixed contacts 8 . . . 11 secured in a base 12 and contact buttons 14a, 14b, 15a, 15b on the bridges are shaped (Fig. 4) to act as arc-horn so that the arcs formed at opposite ends of a bridge on contact separation repel each other. As shown in Fig. 5, the carrier 17 is secured to the end of an armature 23 which is carried by a resilient strip 24 secured to the magnet frame 25. A return spring 35 acts between a fixed part 31 and the carrier 17 which supports four contact bridge sets. An indicator 56b which can be seen through a window 50a in a relay case 50, is pivoted at 56a and has lugs engaging recesses in the carrier 17 (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown).
