Abstract

995,962. Centrifugal fans. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. March 11, 1964 [March 19, 1963], No. 10367/64. Heading F1C. In a means for varying the flow of gas to or from a distributing chamber, the latter has several fans, Fig. 1a, which can be switched on and off individually. Each fan has swinging dampers 4a, 4b inclined to the vertical so that they close automatically when their fan is switched off. A bar 7 connected to the dampers at different distances from their pivotal axes causes the dampers to form a diffuser when open. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 (not shown) two of these fans are mounted to a common distributing chamber. In a treatment plant, Fig. 2, four such distributing chambers 1a to 1d are interconnected in pairs by channels 9.
