Abstract
995,833. Slip-ring for dynamo-electric machines. ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES DE CHARLERON (ACEC). May 26, 1964 [June 19, 1963], No. 21697/64. Heading H2A. Slip-rings 4 are resiliently secured in moulded insulation 3 by longitudinal uniformly distributed iron fingers 7 embedded in the insulation and soldered to the inner cylindrical surface of the ring. Leads 8 are located between the fingers. To ensure resilience, the fingers and leads are covered with elastomer 9 near the rings. The rings are cooled by a helical groove 6 communicating with axial holes 5, and there may be air-spaces or an elastomer under the rings.
