Abstract

1306952 Commutators for dynamo-electric machines PIKO SONNEBERG VEB 2 July 1970 32173/70 Heading H2A A radial-face commutator comprises an annular body 1 having a raised peripheral edge 4 and carrying conductive segments 3 whose soldering lugs 10 are located in apertures 5 in the raised edge 4, the gaps between the segments overlying recesses 6 in the body. The recesses 6 communicate with further apertures 12 in the raised edge 4, thereby preventing accumulation of carbon dust. The segments 3 are held in place by a sleeve (Fig. 4, not shown) inserted into the central aperture 7 of the body.
