A vehicle seat frame comprises a pair of links 13, 14 of substantially equal length, each pivoted to both the back-rest 16 and the seat 15 or to sub-frames 11, 10 associated with them, the links extending across one another to permit pivoting of the back-rest 16 relative to the seat 15. By swinging each link 13, 14 through 90 degrees the position of the back rest is reversed from the position shown in Fig. 1 to that shown in Fig. 4. The inclination of the back-rest may be adjusted to convert the seat into a reclining seat or into a bed. The links may be locked in any desired position by clamp members. The frames may be folded flat for stowing.
