Abstract

988,819. Electromagnets. DACO INSTRUMENT CO. Inc. Apri1 17, 1963 [Sept. 12, 1962], No. 15110/63. Heading H1P. A rotary electromagnet has stator cylinders 10, 12 with axially projecting poles 17, 18 and 22, 23 acting on armatures 40, 46 on same spindle 38. Exciting coils 28, 34 are mounted on central, flux return cores 16, 21, and are energized selectively to rotate the spindle in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction. The spindle is restored to a central position by circular magnets 48, 50 or (Figs. 5-7, not shown) by a return spring at either end, and winged members 52, 54 abut the stator poles to limit the rotation.
