[Also in Division H1] In a vehicle headlamp of which the bulb has one lag range filament and one dipped filament shielded on the underside by a screen which extends rearwardly of the filament and is apertured to accommodate the long range filament, a secondary screen 21 surrounding the bulb is provided and a zone of the upper part of the headlamp lens 19 may be frosted or rendered reflecting. The screen 21 may be slightly inclined to the horizontal to produce an asymmetrical lighting effect and may be reflecting.
