[Also in Division H2] For protecting against unbalanced conditions such as are caused by single phase or two phase earth faults in a three phase system, a three winding reactor, the windings of which are arranged trifilarly, to secure close coupling, has these windings connected each in series with a different phase of the system. The reactor windings 1, 2, 3 (Fig. 1) may be connected in series with the delta windings 5, 6, 4 of a stardelta transformer.
