981,507. Waste outlets for baths and basins. TAYLOR RUSTLESS FITTINGS CO. Ltd. Nov. 21, 1963 [Sept. 18, 1962], No. 35433/62. Heading A4N. Pressure is applied between nut 13 and flange 11 to compress flanges 3 and thus to cause flanges 2 of identical metal cup shaped members 1, formed by high pres sure rotary cold rolling, to grip the botton S of a sink or both. Sealing washers 7 anc 12 are inteposed between the flanges. The members 1 may be of stainless steel and may support a basket strainer 6 on ledge 4. A plug 16 is movable between the two positions shown and, in the upper posi tion, is supported, by stirrup 18, on the spider arms 9 of a grille 8. A plastic plug may have an integrally moulded stem 15 and stirrup 18.
