[Also in Division B8] Inserts 18, 19 placed on the open ends of a cross-bottom thermoplastic valve bag may be heated prior to insertion and merely pressed into position to provide welded seams. The side flaps are subsequently infolded and welded together. An insulating layer corresponding to the width of the overlap may be previously glued between the insert and lowermost infolded side flap. A further cover sheet of paper, plastics or cellulose may be glued or welded to the bag bottom or else a layer of plastics may be extruded thereover.
