Abstract

978,397. Masted lift trucks. CLARK EQUIPMENT CO. Aug. 13, 1963 [Sept. 12, 1962], No. 31892/63. Heading B8H. A mast 16 as disclosed in Specifications 818,457 and 818,458 is pivotally mounted on a lift truck as disclosed in Specification 848,868 by a pair of pins 90, one on each side of the truck and received in an opening 89 in a bracket 80 bolted on to a body member 14. In the position of the brackets 80 shown in Figs. 1, 3 the mast 16 can be pivoted by a ram 34 to a rearwardly tilted position, but not to a forwardly tilted position. Removal of the brackets 80 and replacement in the position shown in Fig. 4 allows sufficient clearance to enable the mast 16 to be tilted by the ram 34 to a forward position as well as to a rearward position.
