977,168. Spin-driers. C. SOMVILLE. Aug. 2, 1961 [Aug. 25, 1960], No. 27969/61. Heading F4G. A spin-drier basket which may be of P.V.C. or light metal alloy has a truncated conical body part 1 provided with apertured hollow discharge ribs or channels 5 which extend from top to bottom of the basket in straight, curved or helicoidal lines. The body part 1 has a lower radially-extending peripheral rim 3 secured as by rivets 8 to a flange 7 of a lower stamped dished part 2 which has reinforcement ribs of substantially triangular shape with a rounded apex.
