Class 34(2) The drum of a spin-drier comprises frusto-conical parts 2, 3 having respective flanges 11, 12, so shaped, that on welding together, water extraction slots 13 are formed. The drum, which has a raised base surface 9 and perforations 10, is of enamelled or painted sheet metal.
