Abstract

974,677. Vehicle service docks. GRILL FLOORS Ltd. Nov. 25, 1963 [Aug. 23, 1962], No. 32471/62. Heading E1X. A service dock for road vehicles comprises a pair of spaced vehicle-supporting runways 10, 12 made up of between two and five standard sections between 6 and 11 feet long and supported at the joints between the sections by stanchions 28 and at their ends by stanchions or other rigid supports. As shown, the stanchions 28 are each secured to a transverse member 26, and each runway has longitudinal vertical walls 14. The space at the outer side of each runway is covered with metal grille sections 34. Rails 36 are fitted to the lower surfaces of the runways for supporting a wheeled trolley 38.
