Abstract

970,154. Vehicle hoods. BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO. Ltd. Feb. 16, 1961 [Feb. 19, 1960], No. 5880/60. Heading B7B. The rear part 2 of a folding roof 1 is secured by clips 6 to a frame member 4 and a separate piece of material 7 secured to the upper surface of the part 2 is carried forward and secured to the forward edge 9 of the body panel 3. The longitudinal edges of the roof 2 and material 7 are secured together to form an envelope or pocket 10 to collect drainage water which is led away via a drain pipe. In an alternative arrangement the hood itself is carried round a tubular member and then forwardly to the edge 9 to form the pocket.
