An inverted U-shaped member 3 forming protection if the vehicle rolls over is secured releasablv to the body at 4 preferably above the level of the sides of the body. The roof part 2 may be integral with the bow 3, extend only forward of it, or may be slidably mounted under it to form an openable roof. Connection may be made between the roof 2 and the windshield frame at 9 or the roof may be self supporting.
