A clamp has a fixed jaw 6, or movable jaw 7 and a screw 10 for moving the movable jaw relative to the fixed jaw, one of the jaws 7 having a readily releasable locking means for engagement with a projection on an article to be supported, the locking means comprising an aperture 15 in the jaw and a spring mounted pin 16 which in locking position extends into the aperture to engage a hole in the projection. The article can be a flower pot or bird table.
