965, 216. Feeding apparatus for textile fabrics. JAMES MACKIE & SONS Ltd. Jan. 27, 1961 [Feb. 3, 1960], No. 3884/60. Heading D1N. Fibres dropped on a horizontal conveyer, as from a hopper weigh pan, are caused to lie obliquely to the conveyer by a pair of deflectors, one deflector being inclined forwardly and the other rearwardly with respect to the direction of motion of the conveyer. The deflectors are preferably constituted by triangular plates 11, 12 each having a horizontal upper edge and each being inclined at approximately 45 degrees to the horizontal in opposite directions.
