965,072. Resiliently mounted adjustable seats. B. G. PERSSON. July 1, 1963 [June 29, 1962], No. 26040/63. Headings A4J and A4U. A resilient support for seats comprises a fixed lower part and an upper part 5 which carries the seat and is depressible relative to the lower part against the action of a spring device; the lower part has a pivoted lever 16 which extends obliquely upwards towards the upper part 5, is adapted to be actuated thereby, and rests on a wheel 14 or similar member which is movable along the lower part and adapted in response to the downward swinging movement of the lever 16 to be displaced along the lower part against the action of a helical compression spring 9. The cam face 18 of the lever 16 may be planar or curved. The lower part comprises a slide 6 adjustably mounted on a plate 1 by means of a screw 7. As shown the upper part 5 is supported on parallel links 3, 4, the front links 4 having a plate 19 with an abutment 20 which may be supported by any selected one of stepped shoulders 21 of an angularly movable ring 22 on the lever 16 so as to adjust the level of the upper part 5 relative to the lever 16 and lower part. Such an adjustment is also effected when adjusting the screw 7. Alternatively, the lever may bear displaceably on the lower side of the upper part movable along a fixed vertical axis.
