943,124. Adjustable seats; cushions. AUSTIN MOTOR CO. Ltd. Oct. 18, 1962 [Aug. 12, 1961], No. 29203/61. Headings A4J and A4M. A seat-back 1 has the lower portion of its main face 3 recessed to accommodate a protuberant padded panel 2 which is suspended pivotably at its upper end and has means for effecting fine adjustment of the extent of its protuberance from its main face. The hinged panel 2 has firm resilient padding 4 on its upper part and soft resilient padding 5 on its lower part. The panel 2 is adjusted by means of a scissor-type linkage 19 (Fig. 3) operable by a screw- and-nut mechanism.
