963,893. Pneumatic tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. Jan. 26, 1961, No. 3044/60. Heading B7C. A pneumatic tyre bead 1 comprises one or more wire cores 2, 3 around which the carcase ply edges 4a-9a are wrapped, and a filler reinforcement 10 comprising an annular strip of parallel metal or textile cords, or fibrereinforced rubber, wrapped around the axially outermost bead core 3 so that its edges extend radially outwardly of the core 3 beyond the ply edges 8a, 9a associated with the core 3 and are spaced axially outwardly of the outermost ply 9 by a rubber packing strip 11.
