973,944. Pneumatic tyres. SEMPERIT OSTERREICHISCH - AMERIKANISCHE GUMMIWERKE A.G. May 1, 1963 [May 3, 1962], No. 17124/63. Heading B7C. A pneumatic tyre, provided between the tread 7 and the carcass 1 with a reinforcement comprising superposed layers 3, 4, 5, 6 of rubberized parallel cords or wires, is characterized in that the radially outermost layer 6 extends axially beyond the edges of the remaining layers 3, 4, 5 and converges towards the carcass 1 until it contacts the same so that the layers 3, 4, 5 are enclosed between the radially outermost layer 6 and the carcass 1. The cords of any one layer of the reinforcement are arranged in a direction intersecting the cords of the immediately adjacent layer. The layers 3, 4, 5 progressively increase in axial width from the carcass radially outwards.
