The body 1 of a scent spray is divided by a partition 2 through which passes a rod 8 of a spring-loaded piston 3, 4, 5, which rod also acts as a valve. The piston spring 15 acts on a disc 12, which rests on the periphery of a flange 11 of the partition 2, and a felt pad 16 lies between the partition and the disc, a portion 18 of the pad 16 extending through a notch in the disc 12. The spray is used inverted and scent flows through the aperture 7, when the piston is depressed, into a radial groove 21 and is absorbed by the pad 16 before being discharged through the orifice 19. A tube 20 bears against the partition 2 and restricts the flow of scent to that which will pass through the groove 21. This quantity may be varied by providing more than one groove or by tapering the lower edge of the tube so that it fits into the aperture 7.
