960,074. Friction clutches; electromagnetic disc brakes. MASCHINENFABRIK STROMAG G.m.b.H. Oct. 17, 1961, No. 37229/61. Headings F2C and F2E. A friction disc for an electromagnetic clutch or brake comprises outer and inner magnetizable annular discs 1, 2 and an intermediate circular or polygonal ring 3 of synthetic plastics or resinous material interconnected against axial displacement by tongue-and-groove connections 5, 7, and against circumferential displacement by a staggered formation of axially-extending semi-circular pegs formed on the inner and outer circumference of the ring 3, or by separate cylindrical pins (Fig. 4, not shown), similarly arranged, the ring 3 being recessed both sides relative to the end faces of the discs 1, 2.
