A picnic case comprises two separable tray-like parts 10, 20 connected by hinge pegs and sockets 29, 19, or by clips, and having on their inner faces recesses which are shaped to fit cups, bottles, specific foodstuffs and utensils. Certain cavities such as 12 may contain liquid and be sealed by a screwed or clipped lid 14. The tray parts, which may be moulded or machined or made up of assembled recessed sections, are held in closed position by straps and have handles 32 for carrying purposes.
