Abstract

957,474. Buckles. CONWAY CAR ACCESSORIES Ltd. May 11, 1962 [May 12, 1961], No. 17443/61. Headings E2A and E2B. A buckle comprises male and female parts 20, 2, part 2 being formed with flanged walls 8 for slidably supporting a latch plate 4, and the part 20 having tongues 22 bearing projections 24 engageable with apertures 10 of the part 2. The latch plate 4 is spring-biased to the fastened position where a step 34 abuts the edge of the projections 24 to prevent displacement. A hand grip 36 is provided to assist release of the device by axial displacement of latch plate 4. In a modification the abutting parts of the projections and the step are chamfered.
