Abstract

1,122,920. Buckles. INDUSTRIFJADRAR A.B. 30 Sept., 1966 [4 Oct., 1965], No. 43781/ 66. Heading E2B. A buckle for safety seat belts comprises a tongue 1 and a housing 2 consisting of two spaced plates 6, 7 between which the tongue is inserted and a latch 12, which is pivoted on a pin 14 between the plates, is spring urged to engage in a recess 13 provided in one side of the tongues. A guide 8 is secured between the plates and forms an abutment for the end of the tongue. Connecting member 9 between the plates also provide guides for the tongue. Raising the handle of the latch releases the tongue.
