957,274. Stripper devices. H. KAMBERSKY. Oct. 30, 1962 [Dec. 22, 1961], No. 41016/62. Heading B8D. A squeeze tube 1 for mascara or the like has screwed on to its neck 3 a sleeve member 4 having a bearing shoulder 5 and accommodating a resilient stripper 6. A cap 8 carrying an applicator stick 10 comprising a smooth cylindrical part 12 and a grooved part 13 fits over the sleeve so that the stick extends through the stripper into the tube and on removal of the cap the stick is pulled through the stripper which removes excess mascara so that only the grooves remain filled. In another embodiment, the sleeve member comprises two sections, one screwed on to the tube neck and the other of larger diameter surrounding the upper end of the tube to prevent unintended squeezing, and may be so dimensioned that an annular clearance is left between it and the neck shoulder of the tube.
