Claims (25)

1. A make up unit for eyelashes in particular, comprising a container (2, 102, 202), containing a fluid or pasty make up product, a detachable cap (3, 203) being fitted on container (2, 102, 202), a stem (44, 144, 244) integral with cap (3, 203), disposed substantially along its axis and projecting in relation to the said cap (3, 203), and a brush (45, 145, 245), carried by the end of stem (44, 144, 244) which is on the opposite side to the cap (3, 203), in the extension of the said stem (44, 144, 244), a wiper element (7, 207) being disposed at the inlet of container (2, 102, 202) into which brush (45, 145, 245) penetrates axially via a passage (32a, 232a) delimited by the inner edge of the wiper lip (32, 232) made of an elastic material, the wiper zone defined by passage (32a, 232a) having a cross section smaller than the cross section of the brush (45, 145, 245) in its state of rest, characterised in that the wiper lip (32, 232) is joined at its periphery to a ring (32b, 232b) made of an elastic material, which ring has a greater thickness than the said lip (32, 232) and which constitutes with it the wiper element (7, 207), the said wiper element (7, 207) being capable of sustaining an elastic deformation leading to a variation of cross section So of passage (32a, 232a) under the actuation of a means of control which causes the axial compression of ring (32b, 232b) to be varied.
2. A make up unit according to Claim 1, characterised in that the wiper element (7, 207) is constituted by a single piece in the vicinity of whose transverse centre plane, there is disposed the wiper lip (32, 232).
3. A make up unit according to one of Claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the wiper lip (32, 23,) is joined to the end plane of ring (32b, 232b) by curved sides whose concavity is turned towards the axis of passage (32a, 232a) provided for brush (45, 145, 245).
4. A make up unit according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that container (2, 102, 202) is constituted by a movable element (6, 106, 206) and a fixed element (4, 104, 204) between which there is interposed ring (32b, 232b) of wiper element (7, 207), the movable element being capable of axial translation in relation to the fixed element and being joined to the means of control (5, 105, 205).
5. A make up unit according to Claim 4, characterised in that the fixed element (4, 104, 204) of container (2, 102, 202) is constituted by a tube joined at its end on the opposite side to that cooperating with the means of control (5, 105, 205) to a neck (10, 210) comprising means complementary to the means carried by cap (3, 203) with a view to fitting this latter on neck (10, 210), the connection of the said tube and of the neck (10, 210) constituting an annular shoulder (9, 209) against which wiper element (7, 207) is bearing.
6. A make up unit according to one of Claims 4 or 5, characterised in that the movable element (6, 106, 206) of container (2, 102, 202) carries internally, along its upper edge, a thrust ring (8, 208) ensuring the seal between the said movable element (6, 106, 206) and wiper element (7, 207) and distributing the compressive force applied against ring (32b, 232b) of the said wiper element (7, 207).
7. A make up unit according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the passage (32a, 232a) delimited by wiper lip (32, 232), when the wiper element (7, 207) is in its unstressed state, has a cross section So equal or slightly smaller than that of the portion of stem (44, 144, 244) which penetrates into container (2, 102, 202).
8. A make up unit according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that, in the fitted position of cap (3, 203) on container (2, 102, 202), stem (44, 144, 244) of brush (45, 145, 245) has a reduced cross section in its zone (51, 251) situated in passage (32a, 232a) of wiper element (7, 207).

A unit according to Claim 4, taken on its own or in combination with one of claims 5 to 8, characterised in that the movable element of container (2) is constituted by a reservoir (6) whose upper edge exerts a thrust force on the wiper element (7), that the fixed element of container (2) is constituted by the wall of a cover barrel (4) surrounding the reservoir (6) and that the cylindrical base (22c) of reservoir (6) carries externally a thread (28) cooperating with a complementary thread (18) carried internally by an adjuster ring (5), the said adjuster ring (5) constituting the means of control and being mounted for integral translation with cover barrel (4).
10. A make up unit according to Claim 9, characterised in that the cover barrel (4) comprises, along its edge on the opposite side to wiper element (7), an engagement means (12) for adjuster ring (5).
11. A make up unit according to Claim 4 taken on its own or in combination with one of claims 5 to 8, characterised in that the movable element of container (102, 202) is constituted by a reservoir (106, 206) whose upper edge exerts a thrust force on the wiper element (7, 207), that the fixed element of container (102, 202) is constituted by the wall of a cover barrel (104, 204) surrounding reservoir (106, 206) and that an adjuster ring (105, 205) constituting the means of control cooperate, via a thread with the cover barrel (104, 204), in the zone of container (102, 202) which is on the opposite side to that receiving cap (3, 203), the said adjuster ring (105, 205) coming to bear against the bottom of reservoir (106, 206).
12. A make up unit according to Claim 11, characterised in that the adjuster ring (105, 205) constitutes a cylindrical cup whose bottom (161, 261) carries, along its axis and within the cup, a projecting male thread (160, 260), the said male thread cooperating with a female thread (162, 262) integral with the cover barrel (104, 204) and disposed along the axis of the said barrel, the end of the male thread (160, 260) coming to bear against the bottom of reservoir (106, 206).
13. A mare up unit according to Claim 12, characterised in that the female thread (162, 262) of the cover barrel (104, 204) is carried by bottom (163, 263) of a sleeve (164, 264) which is fixed on that (165) of the ends of the cover barrel (104, 204) which does not receive cap (3, 203), the said end (165) being open.
14. A make up unit according to one of Claims 1 to 13, characterised in that it comprises a means indicating the degree of compression exerted on the wiper element (7, 207).
15. A unit according to Claims 9 and 14 taken simultaneously, characterised in that the adjuster ring (5) penetrates inside the cover barrel (4) with a cylindrical wall (14b) comprising, on its external surface, a succession of marks which are disposed radially and which appear in turn in front of a window (13) of cover barrel (4) when the said adjuster ring (5) is being turned.
16. A make up unit according to Claims 4 and 14 taken simultaneously, wherein the means of control (5, 105, 205) is an adjuster ring, characterised in that the means indicating the degree of compression of the wiper element (207) comprises:
- firstly, a first mark formed by an opening (269) cut in the lateral wall of one of the two parts constituting, on the one hand, the fixed element (204) and, on the other hand, the adjuster ring (205), the said opening (269) letting appear a subjacent element which is of a different colour from the part carrying the said first mark;
- secondly, several second marks each one formed by an opening (279, 280, 281) cut in the lateral wall of that of the two above mentioned parts (205, 204) which does not carry the first mark, the said opening (279, 280, 281) allowing a subjacent element to appear which is of a different colour from that of the part carrying the said second marks, each one of the said second marks being capable of coming to be opposite the first mark for a given position of the adjuster ring (205).
17. A unit according to Claim 16, characterised in that the fixed element (204) comprises the opening (269) forming the first mark and the adjuster ring (205) comprises the openings (279, 280, 281) forming the second marks.
18. A unit according to one of Claims 17 or 18, characterised in that the openings (279, 280, 281) forming the second marks have differing shapes and/or sizes.
19. A unit according to Claim 18, characterised in that the shapes and/or sizes of holes (279, 280, 281) forming the second marks are associated with the state of compression of the wiper element (207).
20. A unit according to one of Claims 18 or 19, characterised in that the openings (279, 280, 281) forming the second marks have circular shapes.
21. A make up unit according to one of Claims 16 to 20, characterised in that the axes of openings (279, 280, 281) forming the second marks are disposed in the same plane perpendicular to the axis of the adjuster ring (205).
22. A make up unit according to one of Claims 1 to 21, characterised in that the openings (279, 280, 281) forming the second marks are three in number.
23. A unit according to one of "claims 16 to 22, taken in conjunction with claim 13, characterised in that the sleeve (264) has a different colour from that (those) of adjuster ring (205) and of cover barrel (204) and constitutes the subjacent element forming, with openings (269, 279, 280, 281) cut respectively in the cover barrel (204) and in ring (205), the first and the second marks respectively.
24. A make up unit according to claims 17 and 23 taken simultaneously, characterised in that the opening forming the first mark is constituted by a cut out (269) of the border of cover barrel (204) on the opposite side to that receiving cap (203), sleeve (264) carrying a protuberance (275) capable of being accommodated in the said cut out (269).
25. A unit according to one of Claims 9, 11 or 16, characterised in that the lateral walls of cover barrel (204) and of adjuster ring (205) are situated in each other's extension.
