Abstract

956,400. Pneumatic conveyers; unloading vehicles. CARMICHAEL & SONS (WORCESTER) Ltd. Oct. 24, 1962 [Aug. 19, 1961], No. 29987/61. Headings B8A and B8E. A transportable cylindrical container 10, Fig. 2, capable of being tipped for uhloading, has a fluidizing discharge box 11 at one end having divergent sides 111 merging substantially tangentially into the periphery of the container. The box is fitted with a porous floor 113 for fluidizing the material which flows into the box through openings 101, Fig. 3, cn the underside of the container and disposed symmetrically on each side of a deflector 13. The outlet 123 has its axis above the porous floor 113 and the flow is controlled by a valve 121, Fig. 5. The discharge is assisted by fluid supplied at a manifold 122.
