953,682. Brake linings. VYZKUMNY USTAV PRISLUSENSTVI MOTOROVYCH VOZIDEL. May 29, 1962 [May 29, 1961], No. 20690/62. Heading F2E. A brake shoe lining 1 is bonded to a backing member 2 of the same curvature as that of the brake shoe 5, the backing member 2 having lateral rims 3 on both sides which project beyond the brake shoe, narrow portions 6 which engage in recesses 7 in the support flange 4 of the brake shoe and also fillets 8 for radially securing the backing member on the support flange 4. The backing member may be provided with further recesses 9 for engagement in recesses 10 in the support flange as shown in Fig. 4.
