949,974. Container closures. R. C. CAN CO. Nov. 1, 1960, No. 37576/60. Heading B8T. A dispensing closure for assembly in an opening in a container top, comprises a pliable under-closure 15 in which an upper closure member 16 is rotatable by means of a finger grip 31 to bring apertures 34 or 36 in member 16 into alignment with an aperture 21 in the closure member 15. The closure is secured to the container by the engagement of the edge of the container opening in a groove 24 defined by a flange 19 and shoulder 23 provided on the under closure, a projection formed in the groove fitting into a notch in the container top to index the closure in position. Ribs 32, 33 on member 16 provide a pouring spout.
