Abstract

948,365. Mineral-mining machines. A. OELLRICH, [trading as MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIESSEREI A. BEIEN]. July 17, 1961 [May 30, 1961], No. 25840/61. Heading E1F. A mineral-mining plough comprises two beam structures 1, 1<SP>1</SP> connected together about a central, horizontal, transverse axis 3. Provided on each beam structure adjacent the axis 3 are upwardly and outwardly directed guides 11 on which are slidably mounted plough structures 6, 6<SP>1</SP> of which, when the plough is in use, the leading of the structures 6, 61 will slide down the guide towards the axis 3 on engaging the face to become effective whilst the other structure moves away from the face. Each beam 6, 6<SP>1</SP> is fitted with a base plate that extends below a face conveyer associated with the plough to give stability to the plough when in use. Floorplaning blades 19 are mounted at the outer ends of the beam, whilst the haulage means 24 is attached to hooks 17 positioned on each beam approximately midway between the plough structure and the blade thereon and at a height well above the axis 3.
