Apparatus for guiding wellhead equipment 56 from an operational base above a body of water to a subaqueous wellhead comprises a support base 24a below the surface of the water and having a hole for the well pipe 31, tubular columns 41, 42 secured to the base, longitudinal slots 72, 73 in the columns, and guide lines 25, 26 extending co-axially within the columns and upwardly to the operational base.
