Abstract
943,557. Tunnel diode circuits. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. May 10, 1961 [May 10, 1960], No. 17019/61. Heading H3T. A tunnel diode circuit is supplied with current from a voltage source constituted by at least one thermocouple or low-impedance photo-electric cell. The Figure shows a tunnel diode amplifier having input terminals 7, 8 and an output load 9 such as a 60 ohm line. The circuit is supplied with power from a photo-cell 4 exposed to daylight or is a light source fed from a conventional battery or mains supply or the supply of power may be from a thermocouple energized from similar conventional supply. An oscillator circuit may also be supplied with power in this way.
