Abstract

839,117. Combination tools. EIKESAS, B. Nov. 24, 1958, No. 37804/58. Class 61. In a combined axe and saw wherein the saw blade 3 housed in a tubular shaft 4 when the implement is used as an axe, the shaft being removed when the tool is used as a saw, the axe head is provided with a short shaft 2 which serves as a holder for the saw blade. The tubular shaft 4 is adapted to be fixed to the shaft 2 by means of a bolt and butterfly nut 5. A lining 6 of rubber or similar material is provided in the shaft 4 to protect the teeth of the saw blade.
