Abstract

938,677. Jointing by stamping. AMP Inc. Aug. 22, 1962 [Aug. 29, 1961], No. 32215/62. Class 83 (4). A tool for crimping electrical connectors to conductors is substantially the same as that described in Specification 938,676, except that the inward travel of the indentors 45 is limited by their shoulders 48 abutting the sides of the blocks 68. In the event of one or more indentors reaching its stop prior to the bottoming of the remaining indentors the cam 20 adjusts itself laterally on the rod 6 so that further movement of the cam operates only those levers 36 related to the un-arrested indentors.
