936,257. Automatic lathes; blanks transferring. WERKZEUGMASCHINEN-FABRIK GILDEMEISTER & CO. A.G. May 17, 1961 [June 3, 1960], No. 18007/61. Class 83 (3). A work-feeding arrangement for a multispindle automatic lathe having two spaced uprights or pillars respectively accommodating work chucks in a spindle drum and tool-driving means, comprises workpiece delivery means 2 on the upright or pillar remote from that carrying the chucks and inserter means 4 which pick up the workpieces one by one and transfer them to an empty chuck in the spindle assembly of the opposite pillar. The delivery means 2 and the inserter-head 4 are stated to be of known form.
