Abstract

935,407. Rotary compressors. H. RYFFEL. Jan. 17, 1962, No. 1799/62. Class 110 (2). A rotary compressor comprises a rotor mounted in an elliptical section housing, the rotor having a diametral slot contained two diametral vanes 10, 11, each cranked (Fig. 2) to intersect the other. A third, straight vane may be fitted between the vanes 10 and 11 to provide a better seal. In a modification, the rotor has a plurality of sets of vanes, arranged in star form.
