934,411. Haymaking machines. C. VAN DER LELY. March 10, 1960 [April 4, 1959], No. 8573/60. Class 6(3). A front-mounted swath-splitter comprises a frame 10 secured to the front of a tractor 18 and having mountings 19-22 positioned so that rake-wheels 1-4 can be arranged in two groups each having at least two diverging rakewheels. The frame is mainly U-shaped with limbs 11, 12 of unequal length, the longer limb terminating in a bearing 28 for a caster-wheel 27. Beams 9, 23 are provided with mountings 19, 21, and 5-8, some of these providing alternative positions for the rake-wheels when arranged for side-delivery, Fig. 2.
