933,178. Filters. BRITISH FILTERS Ltd. Dec. 27, 1961 [Jan. 30, 1961], No. 3400/61. Class 46. In filtering apparatus as shown in Specification 933,177 the top plate c embodies a sealing washer e and forms a space w, into which upon termination of a filtering operation all filtered liquid drained from annular filter mats h may enter only in the region of a hole, or holes x on its periphery and from which the liquid is ejected by air pressure, supplied through an opening z for discharge through an outlet f, separate from the normal outlet d, by way of a filter mat h<SP>1</SP> closing the space w. The casing is turned through 90 degrees, with the entry hole x positioned at the lowermost level, when it is to be drained, and the connections to inlet and outlet openings band d respectively are closed.
