Abstract

930,158. Fixing chains in rows; stackable chairs. TALBOYS MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. April 18, 1962 [April 18, 1961], No. 13891/61. Class 52 (2). A chair has at each side a pair of legs 17 formed from a single tubular member, the legs being spaced outwardly from the sides of the seat 9 and being connected to spaced front and rear transverse members 11, 12 of the chair frame by jaw members 13, 13, 14, 14, the jaw members 13, 13 facing inwardly towards each other and the jaw members 14, 14 facing outwardly away from each other. The jaw members are of complementary shape to the surfaces of the legs 17 which they are adapted to engage so that several chairs may be positively linked to form a row. The front legs are vertical and the rear legs are rearwardly inclined and diverge from the front legs sufficiently to permit the chair to be stacked on a similar chair (Fig. 7).
