928,608. Filters. GUSTAVE JULIN ET FILS. Oct. 17, 1960 [Nov. 16, 1959], No. 36468/60. Class 46. [Also in Group XIII] A continuous screw extraction press, progressively adjustable in operation, includes a supporting spindle 8 keyed at 20 to a screw 2, which has a central cavity 22 and operates with an overhang without rubbing against the immovable part of the press; an end ogival head 24 is located on the screw by a conical shank 26, and is surrounded by a nozzle portion having an outlet 5, adjustable by liquid inflation through a pipe 38 of the hollow annular rim of a resilient deformable ring 32 secured to the frame 1 by a plate 35 and protected by a cap 36. A cage 4 comprises two concentric cylinders, one 28 with fine mesh, e.g. of corrosion resistant material such as perforated sheet or metal cloth, and the other 29 with larger mesh. A diaphragm 17 and a deflector 18 prevent fouling of a spindle bearing 27.
