Abstract

928,526. Suction cleaners; suction cleaner filter bags. ELECTROLUX Ltd. Feb. 19, 1960 [March 24, 1959], No. 28902/62. Divided out of 928,525. Classes 8(1) and 8(2). In a vacuum cleaner having a dust collector disposed within a tubular housing comprising a removable front cover, the mouth 26 of a paper dust-collecting bag 22 is held pressed against the front cover 25 by a removable holder 23 having identically shaped front and rear faces so that either face may be adjacent the cover 25. The holder 23 comprises a resilient plastic or rubber disc formed by concentric rings 80, 81 interconnected by spokes 82, the ring 81 having projecting edges, 84, 85 for co-operating with a rearwardly projecting edge 86 to clamp the mouth 26 of the paper bag 22. A cloth filter bag 21 having a mouth ring 20 surrounds the bag 22.
