Abstract
927,095. Container closures; plastics containers. K. EBNER. June 28, 1960, No. 22543/60. Classes 66 and 125(3). [Also in Group XXIX] A thin-walled container of synthetic plastics material has an outlet passage of capillary form which may be either in the stopper or in the container wall. As shown in Fig. 1, glass capillary tubes 10, 11 are joined to cavities 14, 13 respectively between which is a connecting tube 12, the cavity 14 containing sealing fluid to prevent the entry of air into the bottle. The stopper may have external grooves of capillary form, Fig. 2; and these may be combined with a groove in the stopper containing a sealing liquid, Fig. 3 (not shown). Again, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), several capillaries open at either end of the stopper are joined at their inner ends to a cavity in the stopper containing sealing liquid; or a passage passing through the stopper is plugged at either end with foam rubber having capillary ducts, the intervening part of the passage containing sealing fluid.
