927,069. Resilient seat mountings. CLARK EQUIPMENT CO. Dec. 20, 1961 [Dec. 29, 1960; Nov. 6, 1961], No. 45700/61. Class 52 (1). A seat suspension includes a seat supporting member, e.g. cover-plate 46, connected in vertically spaced relation to a seat by resilient shear means permitting limited universal movement. A pivotally mounted plate 46 (Figs. 2, 3) having openings 54, is secured to a seat frame 74 by brackets 56, 62 via a resilient member 58, the brackets 62 extending through the openings 54. Alternatively, the plate 46 and the seat are interconnected via a resilient member 100 (Figs. 6, 8) having outer and inner annular portions 102, 104 and a web portion 106, the outer portion 102 including a circumferential, forked flange 108 bonded to a metal flange 110 for fixing to the plate 46 and the inner portion 104 being sleeved at 116 to receive a stud 118 carried by a load-equalizing plate 120 secured to the seat tracks 68. The seat position is longitudinally adjustable.
