Abstract

923,647. Stop motions; beaming machines. ASH SPINNING CO. Ltd. March 21, 1961 [April 9, 1960], No. 12725/60. Class 142 (1). In a beaming or cross-balling machine a slack or broken yarn end A allows a drop wire b1 to fall thereby placing an opaque disc b4 in the path of a beam of light which causes a photo-electric cell C to release a relay to stop the machine and to light an indicator lamp in a discriminator circuit which prevents other lamps lighting as their yarns slacken on loom stoppage. A rest b5 is provided for unused wires. The lights and cells may be arranged in banks.
